Lionel Messi's family have released a detailed statement following reports that his father Jorge is going through health issues. The Argentina captain admitted was seen crying after the first of three goals against Algeria at the World Cup, with it later claimed that it was because of his father's condition . A statement has since been issued, which reads: "The Messi family informs that Jorge is going through a health situation. At this time, he is under medical monitoring, recovering and evolving favourably within the condition he is presenting.
