England can book their place in the World Cup last 32 with a game to spare if they win their next Group L clash against Ghana.

Thomas Tuchel opened their campaign with a 4-2 win over Croatia, with the performance in the second half particularly impressive as goals from Jude Bellingham and substitute Marcus Rashford sealed victory.

They now sit top of the group, while Ghana beat Panama 1-0 in their opener with a 94th-minute winner, and can also book a place in the top two should they win in Boston on Tuesday.

A win for England meanwhile would render their last group stage game against Panama a dead rubber, with the chance to seal progression after just two games also an opportunity to make a statement to major rivals France, Spain, and Argentina.

Here’s everything you need to know.

When is England v Ghana?

England face Ghana in Group L at the Boston Stadium on June 23, with kick-off at 9pm BST.

How can I watch it?

Viewers in the UK can watch the game live on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, with coverage beginning at 8pm BST.

Team news

England had injury scares after the Croatia game with Declan Rice revealing he has played for the last six months with neural pain and Marcus Rashford also feeling some discomfort, but both took part in full training before the game.

Bukayo Saka trained individually as he nurses an Achilles injury and is likely to start on the bench as his recovery is managed.

Thomas Partey will feature for Ghana having missed their opening game due to being refused entry to Canada. He was denied a visa to enter Canada after being charged with seven counts of rape and one count of sexual assault, all of which he denies, but has been granted entry into the US.

First-choice keeper Lawrence Ati Zigi was removed at half-time due to a knock and is unlikely to start.

Predicted line-ups

England XI: Pickford, James, Stones, Guehi, O'Reilly, Anderson, Rice, Madueke, Bellingham, Gordon, Kane

Ghana XI: Asare, Senaya, Adjetey, Opoku, Minseh, Yirenkyi, Partey, Fatawu, Sulemana, Semenyo, Ayew
