Meanwhile, Peter Schilling’s 1980s synth-pop hit ‘Major Tom’ boomed out several times during Germany‘s 7-1 group win over Curacao.

What is England’s World Cup goal music?

England supporters will be delighted to know that the FA have picked Chase the Sun by Planet Funk as their chosen track.

The electronic dance anthem is synonymous with the darts, and is a favourite of the World Championships at Alexandra Palace.

Its inclusion in the 2026 World Cup marks a drastic change for England from Qatar, where ‘Freed From Desire’ by Gala played.

Chase the Sun boomed out after Kane’s penalty, and then played twice more when Kane added a second, and Jude Bellingham scored.
