Referee confirmed for Czech Republic vs Mexico

Estadio Azteca in Mexico City is the stage, with the match due to kick off at 7pm local time (2am UK time).

FIFA have confirmed the team of officials who will oversee the game both on the pitch and from the VAR booth.

Argentinian referee Yael Falcon will be at the centre of it all as he takes charge of his second game of the tournament.

37-year-old Falcon has had a rapid rise through the ranks since he started refereeing in 2017, and last month took charge of the Torneo Apertura final to determine the champions of Argentina, with Belgrano running out 3-2 winners over River Plate.

Falcon's other day's work at this World Cup was Sweden's 5-1 win over Tunisia.

Two of his countrymen will run the lines: Maximilliano Del Yesso and Facundo Rodriguez.

Chilean pair Cristian Garay and Jose Retamal will be the fourth official and reserve assistant referee, respectively.
