Roberto Martinez statement released after claims he could QUIT after World Cup
The World Cup has already lost one manager after Tunisia sacked Sabri Lamouchi with another boss reportedly also on the way out after this year's tournament

The Portuguese FA have refused to address claims that manager Roberto Martinez is set to step down from his role. It has been reported that Martinez has decided to quit after the tournament concludes this summer. Former Everton and Wigan manager Martinez was a surprise appointment with Portugal in January 2023. The ex-midfielder replaced Fernando Santos, who resigned after Portugal's quarter-final defeat by Morocco at the 2022 World Cup. Martinez's appointment came after he stood down as Belgium coach following six years in charge, which ended in a group-stage exit in Qatar .
