Real Madrid announce Ibrahima Konate transfer after brutal Liverpool snub

Real Madrid have officially announced the signing of Ibrahima Konate on a free transfer from Liverpool . The confirmation comes a day after Bernardo Silva also swapped the Premier League for Spain's capital, having left Manchester City . Konate, 27, has agreed a four-year contract, double the length of Silva's deal, but two short of the six-year one Marc Cucurella will sign after the World Cup. Madrid are also due to announce the signing of Denzel Dumfries as they continue their defensive overhaul. Dani Carvajal and David Alaba will both depart when their contracts end this month.
