And, even though Liverpool managed to replace him with Luis Diaz and Cody Gakpo, now that the former of the two has left and the Dutchman has played terribly over the last season, questions are being asked about when the Reds' next era will get started.

This is why so many players are already being linked with an Anfield switch ahead of the new season and why one of their potential targets could easily become their new Mane.

Bradley Barcola could be Liverpool's next Sadio Mane

Bradley Barcola is one of the many attackers who have been linked with a Liverpool move this summer.

The Frenchman has stalled talks with Paris Saint-Germain over a new deal with several clubs vying for his transfer.

Liverpool are in desperate need of new attackers and, without adding another couple to their squad, they'll probably do worse than they did this season.

That's why, the latest report from French outlet Le10 Sport is something that should massively pique the interest of fans.

"Bradley Barcola , for his part, isn't necessarily ruling out a departure from PSG," they wrote.

"Le10Sport.com exclusively revealed that the French international is receptive to Liverpool 's interest.

"It's worth noting that the 23-year-old winger would get a more prominent role there than at PSG , where he isn't a guaranteed starter given the competition from Ousmane Dembélé , Khvicha Kvaratskhelia , and Désiré Doué."

Bradley Barcola would be an immense signing for Liverpool

Most of the attackers that Liverpool are being linked with seem to be natural left-wingers.

Barcola, Bazoumana Toure and Yan Diomande are just three examples of the Reds' options that they're wanting to explore.

Of the three, Diomande is clearly their main target but, since RB Leipzig are adamant that they don't want to lose him, they could drive a rather hard bargain to prise him away from the Red Bull Arena.

And, even though Paris Saint-Germain don't want to lose Barcola either, since he's the once choosing to step away from contract talks, it feels like Liverpool have more of a chance to sign him.

The Frenchman has scored 39 goals during his time at the Parc des Princes and, even though he's featured fairly regularly, since Khvicha Kvaratskhelia , Desire Doue and Lee Kang-In also occupy that role, he's not a guaranteed starter.

Whereas, if he joined Liverpool, he certainly would be as it would mean that Gakpo could be moved on and Rio Ngumoha would be the back-up.

There are obviously a lot of moving parts that still need to be figured out but, especially if Liverpool can get him cheaper, Barcola is clearly the best option for them to explore.

He's won the Champions League twice and, every time he's played against the Reds, he's always been one of the best players on the pitch.

And, since he's so clinical, he could easily become the Reds' next Mane.
