England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt has been ruled out of her side's next two matches at the Women's T20 World Cup with a calf injury sustained in Tuesday's win over Ireland. Sciver-Brunt retired out on 48 in Southampton, with an ECB statement released later in the night saying that was a precautionary measure due to calf tightness.
The 33-year-old underwent a scan on Wednesday and after further assessment from the England medical team will now sit out Saturday's encounter with Scotland at Headingley as well as next Wednesday's meeting with West Indies at Lord's.
