Portugal manager Roberto Martinez in talks to join Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr

Roberto Martinez, manager of the Portugal national team, is in talks to join Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr, according to a report from French media RMC Sport.

Martinez’s Portugal side drew 1-1 against DR Congo in their FIFA World Cup opener on Wednesday. His time in the post may come to an end upon the conclusion of the tournament, with his contract up. The former Belgium manager may already have another post lined up, RMC Sport understands.

Martinez has begun talks with Al-Nassr. Those talks started prior to the World Cup, the French publication understands. Al-Nassr is the club of Cristiano Ronaldo. At 40, he started in the draw against DR Congo. He played the full 90 minutes in the encounter. It is a result that leaves the Iberian nation third in Group K. Thanks to their win against Uzbekistan later in the day, Colombia currently sit top of the table.
