Steve Clarke will hope to guide the nation to the Round of 32 for the first time in their history.

The two teams have played each other five times since 1974, with Brazil taking the victory four times and drawing once.

So far in their 2026 World Cup campaign, the Tartan Army beat Haiti 1-0 but lost to Morocco via an early goal.

Meanwhile, nothing could split the two sides in Brazil’s clash with the Champions of Africa but Carlo Ancelotti‘s men got their groove back against Haiti in a 3-0 victory.

Scotland vs Brazil: What has been said?

Clarke was unrested prior to the game against Morocco, stating he oly slept four hours the night before.

He said: “This morning I woke up after a great sleep last night. I slept for about four hours before the game, I slept about three hours after the game.

“Then last night, I slept for 10 hours, and I woke up this morning and I thought, ‘Bring it on, let’s go!

“We had a fantastic debrief on the Morocco game where I could show them what they can improve on and hopefully we take that into this game.”

He added: “I was actually pleased how we responded to a really poor start. I think people forget how games change on a goal.

“To lose one so early was a blow and we had to show a little bit of resilience and ride our luck in the first period, up to the advert break, sorry, the hydration break!

Neymar has not been fit enough to appear in the World Cup so farGetty

“But after that I felt we found our way into the game. But, we didn’t do enough to create chances.

“We were good from back to middle and from middle to final third. But we were not so good after that because we didn’t really create any clear chances.

“That’s been something we’ve been working on. Especially for games against the top ten teams. It’s an area, if I’m honest, where I’ve been looking for solutions for quite a long time. To try and find ways where we can hurt top teams.”

Neymar? No Problem.

With speculation that Neymar Jr could be coming off the bench and making his international return, the Scotland defenders are confident about playing against the Brazilian icon.

Jack Hendry believes it’s no problem, saying: “I’m quite comfortable, obviously, coming up against Neymar, and I look forward to it.

“It should be a really good battle, and if he does play, then I ?look forward to it.”
