Jurgen Klopp has issued a response after coming under fire for his controversial comments

Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was scolded by ex-Germany midfielder Stefan Effenberg after making a joke about replacing national team boss Julian Nagelsmann. Klopp has been touted as a possible successor to the current head coach and appeared to hint at this during German television coverage. The 59-year-old was joined by Bayern Munich legend Thomas Muller for Magenta Sport's broadcast of Germany's World Cup opener against Curacao . "Luckily, it's Julian Nagelsmann who's picking the team," Klopp said while discussing the starting XI before adding: "For now".
