Cristiano Ronaldo has been singled out after Portugal failed to beat DR Congo with Thierry Henry suggesting the striker put his personal ambitions ahead of the team

Thierry Henry took aim at Cristiano Ronaldo 's selfishness and reminded the Portugal striker - "the team needs to score, it's not you who needs to score." The Al-Nassr frontman led the line for his country as they began their World Cup in underwhelming fashion, drawing with DR Congo despite taking an early lead. That came courtesy of Joao Neves, before Newcastle's Yoane Wissa equalised for the African side. Portugal went in search of a winner and Ronaldo, now playing at a sixth World Cup, was clearly desperate to be the man to find the winning goal.
