For tonight's deciding clash, Mexican referee Cesar Ramos will oversee Scotland vs Brazil.
Joining Ramos as his assistant referees are fellow countrymen Alberto Morin and Marco Bisguerra.
Norway's Espen Eskas will serve as the fourth official, while those tasked with VAR duties are yet to be revealed.
The Tartan Army might be intrigued by Ramos' history, having officiated both Brazil and Morocco at previous World Cups.
In the former's opener of the 2018 edition, Brazil launched a complaint against the Mexican for a foul he did not give in the build-up to a goal from their opposition.
Similarly, while refereeing Morocco vs France in the 2022 tournament's semi-final, another complaint was lodged.
Morocco's World Cup 2022 run was historic, but the team believed Ramos played a role in their semi-final exit. (Image credit: Quality Sport Images/Getty Images)On that occasion, Morocco alleged that Ramos had failed to award what they believed were clear penalties, leading to the complaint.
This will be Ramos' sixth match as referee on the World Cup stage, averaging two bookings per game.
The Mexican has refereed 144 matches in Liga MX, Apertura, averaging five bookings per game in the Mexican professional league.
