Barcelona superstar’s wife denies rumours of financial and personal struggle: ‘I think it is absurd’

Raphinha’s wife, Natalia Belloli, has strongly denied rumours that the Barcelona forward is facing financial problems, shutting down a controversy that began in Brazil and has now reached Spain.

As quoted by Mundo Deportivo, Belloli responded after former Brazil international Vampeta claimed on the Red Cast podcast that Raphinha had a serious family issue and financial difficulties, even linking that alleged situation to a possible move to Saudi Arabia.

Belloli was clear in rejecting the story. She said,

“Honestly, I think it is absurd to have to talk about my financial situation. If we were earning only 10% of what Raphinha earns today, we would still be very blessed.”

She also explained why she had not wanted to address the rumours publicly at first. She added,

“I do not see any need to expose that on social media because I am fully aware of the social reality we live in.

If I posted something saying: ‘Look, I am not poor, I am still rich’, people would accuse me of having no class.”

Rumours without a base

Belloli admitted she had expected the story to fade, but it continued spreading. She said:

“I thought the story would calm down, but these rumours have already reached Spain and now everyone believes we are going through financial hardship.”

Raphinha is already dealing with enough noise around his future, with Al-Hilal interest and a post-World Cup decision still hanging over the situation.

Adding an unverified personal rumour only makes the situation more complex.

Vampeta himself reportedly described the information as gossip he had heard during the World Cup. However, he should have known better than to share it.

Raphinha is also recovering from the muscle problem he suffered in Brazil’s 3-0 win over Haiti, when he had to come off because of discomfort in the back of his right thigh.

His fitness matters to Hansi Flick’s plans, and the club will not want Brazil to take unnecessary risks with a player who has already had issues in that area.

The Saudi links may continue because Raphinha’s future is still not fully settled. However, fans will hope the Brazilian continues to wear the Blaugrana shirt.

The situation that should be in focus is the football aspect. Raphinha has been one of Flick’s most important players, both for his output and his intensity.

Whether he stays or leaves, the discussion should be based on sporting plans, transfer value and the player’s own decision, not rumours about his private life.

Belloli’s response was firm, necessary and respectful. Now, the best thing for Raphinha, Brazil and Barcelona is simple: let him recover, let him play and let the future be decided without unnecessary noise.
