Miller et Taylor ont été nommés entraîneurs du Maccabi Tel Aviv.

Former Scotland striker Kenny Miller has been appointed Maccabi Tel Aviv head coach on a permanent basis after leading them to victory in the Israeli State Cup final over Hapoel Be'er Sheva as caretaker.

The 46-year-old, who has signed a one-year contract with the club having an option to extend for a further season, will be assisted by Stuart Taylor, his fellow Scot having left the same role with St Mirren.

Miller had followed Ronny Deila to Maccabi from Atlanta United in January and stepped up as team boss after the former Celtic manager exited in May.

Former Celtic and Rangers striker Miller told his club website: "From the moment I arrived at the club, I felt the passion, ambition and expectations that make Maccabi such a special place."

Miller had a spell as player-manager with Livingston before being assistant at Newcastle Jets, Western Sydney Wanderers, Falkirk, where he was also caretaker for three games, and Huddersfield Town.

Now he takes over a side looking to improve on last season's third-place finish in the Israeli Premier League.

Maccabi owner Mitch Goldhar said: "Since joining Maccabi in January, Kenny has earned the respect of all of us with his professionalism, work ethic and understanding of the standards, values and ambitions expected at Maccabi Tel Aviv."

Meanwhile, Taylor's departure from St Mirren comes shortly after Craig McLeish was confirmed as permanent manager.

The Scottish Premiership club say they are "at an advanced stage of adding to our coaching staff".

Former Airdrieonians and St Mirren midfielder Taylor previously was a manager in his own right with Limerick and Hamilton Academical.
