Vinícius Júnior Gets 9.5/10 | Brazil Players Rated After Their Thumping 3-0 Win Vs Scotland In The FIFA World Cup 2026

Pure, liquid football. Carlo Ancelotti’s Brazil booked their spot in the FIFA World Cup 2026 knockout stages with a bruising, brilliant 3-0 demolition of Scotland. Under the heavy, humid Florida sky, the Seleção didn’t just win; they ran the show from the first whistle to the last, securing top spot in Group C with a game to spare.

Scotland worked hard, but they were chasing ghosts. Vinícius Júnior scored twice before the break, Matheus Cunha added a third in the second half, and Steve Clarke’s men simply had no answers.

Brazil player ratings vs Scotland: Seleção dominate in Miami

Here is how the Brazilian players fared on a night where the five-time world champions looked frighteningly good.

Starting eleven:

Alisson Becker: 7/10

A quiet night for the Liverpool goalkeeper. He spent most of the match watching his teammates dictate the tempo. Scotland rarely got near him, but when Scott McTominay unleashed a powerful header toward the top corner, Alisson was ready. A brilliant, sharp reaction save kept the clean sheet intact.

Danilo: 6/10

Solid enough. He dealt with the threat of Andrew Robertson early on without sweating too much. A clumsy tackle in the second half brought a yellow card, which took the shine off a disciplined defensive display.

Marquinhos: 7.5/10

The skipper cruised through this match. He read the game beautifully, stepping out of the backline to intercept long balls meant for Lawrence Shankland. Total composure from start to finish.

Gabriel Magalhães: 7/10

Pure muscle. He complemented Marquinhos perfectly, providing the physical traits needed against a battling Scottish attack. His passing was crisp too, constantly feeding the midfield to get Brazil on the front foot.

Douglas Santos: 6.5/10

Played it safe. He stayed wide to stretch the Scottish midfield but rarely took huge risks on the ball. He completely nullified Ben Doak before heading to the bench late on.

Casemiro: 7/10

The old guard. He sat right in front of the back four, breaking up any rare Scottish counter-attacks with his usual bite. Ancelotti hooked him early to save his legs for the bigger battles ahead.

Bruno Guimarães: 8.5/10

An absolute masterclass. He owned the pitch tonight. He created the second goal with a beautiful, floating cross to the back post, then used his strength to win the ball from Kenny McLean before setting up Cunha for the third. Magnifique.

Lucas Paquetá: 6.5/10

Neat and tidy. He kept the ball moving with some lovely little flicks into the final third. He really should have scored after the break, but he got underneath his shot and sent it miles over the bar.

Rayan: 7.5/10

The kid is special. Given a start by Ancelotti, his relentless pressing forced Scott McKenna into a terrible mistake after just seven minutes. He showed great maturity to keep his cool and roll the ball across the box for the opener.

Matheus Cunha: 8/10

Non-stop running. He worked the Scottish centre-backs ragged with his movement. His hard work got its reward on the hour mark when he smashed home a fierce finish past Angus Gunn after some brilliant team build-up.

Vinícius Júnior: 9.5/10

Unstoppable. The best player on the pitch by a country mile. He tapped in the first, headed home the second, and even had a third ruled out by a harsh VAR call. Scotland’s defenders will be seeing him in their nightmares.

Substitutes

Gabriel Martinelli (Sub 65′): 6/10

Brought lots of energy to the left wing. He ran against tired legs and stretched the game, though his final pass lacked a bit of quality tonight.

Fabinho (Sub 65′): 5.5/10

Came on to steady the ship but managed to pick up a quick yellow card for a late challenge. Settled down after that and kept things simple.

Neymar Jr (Sub 75′): 7/10

The stadium erupted when he stepped onto the pitch. Returning from injury, he looked lively, winning free-kicks and showing off his usual array of tricks.

Alex Sandro (Sub 81′): 6/10

Came on for the final ten minutes to help see out the clean sheet. No fuss.

A late cameo for the youngster. He buzzed around the box, desperate to get on the scoresheet, but ran out of time.
