Austria to lead at any time vs Argentina @ 13/8

A Messi hat-trick means Messi hysteria, which will mean absolutely nothing at all in the Austrian camp.

Lost in the fog of hyperbole surrounding Messi’s treble in Argentina’s 3-0 win over a poor Algeria was the fact that Austria also won their Group I opener, 3-1 against Jordan.

It wasn’t particularly pretty despite Ralf Rangnick’s men dominating possession, but they will come on for the ride and can give Argentina a game.

This Albiceleste side is clearly very decent but Austria, well organised and stacked with experience, can frustrate them and on a four-game winning run this year will be confident.

It would not be a monumental surprise if they won this game; it certainly wouldn’t be a surprise to see them lead at some stage which looks a nice price at 13/8.

France vs Iraq Over 3.5 goals, Aymen Hussein 1+ shots on target, Over 5.5 France corners, Kylian Mbappe to score anytime @ 7/1

Kylian Mbappe was at the heart of everything good about France’s second-half performance against Senegal and you would expect the Real Madrid ace to follow up against Iraq in their Group I encounter in Philadelphia.

But France, being France, they are just as likely to nod off from time to time and Iraq are no mugs.

While Mbappe will get chances and should score, Aymen Hussein looked a real threat against Norway getting three shots away in that 4-1 loss.

Hussein can get a shot on target in a game destined to produce over 3.5 goals.

Les Bleus will do most of the attacking and should chalk up their share of corners. They mustered six corners against an excellent Senegal in their opener despite not getting out of bed for 45 minutes.

Expect them to be on it from the off against their Asian opponents and rack up six corners or more.

Draw or Senegal Double Chance, France win & over 1.5 goals, Jordan vs Algeria over 33 tackles, Argentina 11+ fouls vs Austria @ 19/5

Norway, with Erling Haaland to the fore, were decent in their 4-1 win over Iraq.

Senegal, with Edouard Mendy in inspired form in goal, were unlucky in their 3-1 loss to France.

The African battlers will provide Norway with a huge test and the Draw/Senegal Double Chance option should be the bedrock of a four-leg acca.

Throw in France to win and over 1.5 goals against Iraq – surely a formality – and Jordan and Algeria to between them pile up 33 tackles.

These sides need points after losing starts and they combined for 32 tackles in their openers – they can up that here.

And finally, Argentina just cannot help themselves. Even in a 3-0 romp past Algeria they still managed to commit 13 fouls and should be even naughtier if up against it versus Austria.
