Brazilian legend Ronaldinho has signed with Italy’s third-division side Ravenna, and, according to Italian sources, he’ll make a brief appearance in a competitive match and become a minority shareholder in the club.
Former Milan and Barcelona star Ronaldinho has signed a contract with Serie C side Ravenna in Italy.
Will Ronaldinho play in Italy’s third division?
The move was confirmed by the Brazilian footballer, Ravenna’s President Ignazio Cipriani and vice president Ariedo Braida. The latter had already signed Ronaldinho from Barcelona to Milan in 2008.
Sky Sport Italia and Fabrizio Romano explain the details of the deal, saying that Ronaldinho, 46, won’t technically be part of the squad or travel with the team for away matches in the 2026-27 campaign.

He’ll make a brief appearance in a Serie C game during the season and become a minority shareholder in the club.
In addition, Ravenna’s 2026-27 kit will feature Ronaldinho’s iconic R10 logo.
Ronaldinho will be officially unveiled at a special event in Miami on June 23 and travel to Ravenna around Augst 20 to attend the team’s unveiling.
