The World Cup star who has impressed Real Madrid more than anyone else

Being the biggest football competition in the world, the World Cup is keenly followed by football clubs around the world, as it provides them with an opportunity to see some of the most select footballing talents on the pitch. This is particularly the case with Real Madrid, who now have almost a tradition of getting some of the most notable stars from every World Cup.

The examples of the signings of James Rodriguez and Keylor Navas in 2014 and that of Mesut Ozil in 2010 stand out from their recent history in this regard.

Now, with the World Cup 2026 well underway, the Merengues are again keeping a close eye on the competition and some of the players who are impressing at the highest stage.

According to Diario AS, one player who currently stands above anyone else in the white club’s eyes is the Moroccan midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi, who took everyone by surprise with his performance against Brazil, and then once again impressed in the following match against Scotland. He impressed particularly with his courage and his clear vision.

Still only 18 years of age, Bouaddi is rubbing shoulders with some of the very best footballers in the world, showcasing his maturity at such a young age. There is no doubt that big things await if he continues to play at the highest level.

Meanwhile, his performances in the World Cup have already put him at the center of transfer market rumors, with several big European clubs already reportedly being interested in him. One of his teammates at Lille, Olivier Giroud, had not doubts that he would end up at Real Madrid, in a year’s time at the most, and the Merengue fans themselves would be hoping the Moroccan becomes the latest addition to their team’s midfield, ideally before the start of the next season.
