Chelsea have placed a staggering £75 million price tag on Malo Gusto as interest in the France international continues to grow, according to the Daily Mail.
Manchester City are among the clubs tracking the 23-year-old right-back, with sources close to the player indicating he would be open to a reunion with Enzo Maresca.
The Italian tactician is expected to replace Pep Guardiola at the Etihad.
However, City are not alone, with several of European clubs also monitoring Gusto’s situation.
However, Stamford Bridge insiders maintain the Blues are not looking to cash in on the defender, who remains highly regarded within the club despite an inconsistent 2025/26 campaign.
The hefty £75m asking price shows Chelsea are determined to keep Gusto unless an extraordinary offer arrives.
Whether City would be prepared to approach that figure remains uncertain, even in a market where transfer fees have been ridiculous.
There have been talks of Gusto leaving following Chelsea’s move for Atalanta full-back Marco Palestra.
The Blues have hijacked Inter Milan’s pursuit of the versatile 21-year-old, who is expected to become Xabi Alonso’s first signing since taking charge.
Capable of operating on either flank as both a full-back and wing-back, Palestra’s arrival would provide Chelsea with additional depth and tactical flexibility, inevitably raising questions over Gusto’s long-term role.
Meanwhile, the west London club are also demanding £120m for Enzo Fernandez, with Real Madrid pushing to sign the Argentine international.
They have decided not to pursue a move for Mateus Fernandes, with Jose Mourinho keen on Fernandez.
Elsewhere, Chelsea have received a bid for centre-back Trevoh Chalobah from Como. It remains unclear whether the Blues will let the English star leave Stamford Bridge this summer.
The 26-year-old has two years left on his deal, and with no new contract in sight, this might be the best time to get a fee for him.
It is also worth noting that Chelsea want Como defender Jacobo Ramon.
