Rising France star admits to PSG desire – but stacked midfield makes move unlikely

Manu Kone has made it clear that he would like to play for PSG – however there is as yet no indication the Parisians are keen to make his dream come true.

There are a lot of players who PSG would like to buy – but there are even more players who would like to be bought by PSG.

Manu Kone looks like he will make his first World Cup start for France tonight against Iraq, having featured as a sub against Senegal in the first group game. It’s a great moment for him, and a great reward for a strong season at Roma.

That good form in Serie A has seen links emerge to Premier League teams, including Arsenal and Chelsea. Roma need to sell to comply with FFP regulations. Footmercato report today that Kone dreams of a move to PSG, who had been linked with him in the past.

“The Parisians have never made a move… which is a rather clear answer for Manu Kone” they conclude curtly.

Given how strong PSG’s midfield is already, it’s no surprise they don’t have any interest in Kone.

But a good showing for France tonight could yet gather more clubs around a top talent.
