Real Madrid’s pursuit of Michael Olise has been the biggest talking point in the Spanish capital lately, with president Florentino Perez keen on making the Frenchman the club’s next big Galactico signing.
To that end, former Real Madrid coach Juan Ramon Lopez Caro has thrown his weight firmly behind a move for Olise, describing him as the perfect profile to strengthen the club’s attack.
Lopez Caro endorses Olise move
Speaking to MARCA, Lopez Caro argued that Real Madrid must always look to reinforce, given their standing in world football.
“It’s what Real Madrid has always been. If it needs to strengthen, it should do so, because when Madrid can’t do it, who will? It’s the best team in the world and has the best conditions to continue being so,” he stated.

The former coach was then asked directly whether he would recommend Florentino Perez make a significant investment in Olise.
“Without a doubt. I love that player. Not only for his talent, but because he’s very competitive and very ambitious,” he said.
A mouthwatering attacking trio
Lopez Caro added that Olise’s addition to Los Blancos could make Real Madrid one of the feared attacking teams in the world.
“Just imagine Olise, Vinicius, and Mbappe up front. I’m speechless,” he said.

However, Lopez Caro was also keen to stress that talent alone is not enough to thrive at a club of Real Madrid’s magnitude, and he believes Olise possesses the mental attributes required to succeed.
“To be a Real Madrid player, you not only have to be a good player or an excellent player, but you also have to have a very ambitious mentality.
“Being number one in every match isn’t easy. Maintaining that mental strength and balance that Real Madrid players need is very difficult. And many players, no matter how good they are, aren’t up to the task,” heconcluded.
Signing Olise, though, could be a challenge for Real Madrid, with Bayern Munich not too keen on offloading their star player anytime soon.
