The Vinicius Jr. contract renewal saga is approaching a critical stage, with Real Madrid preparing to make their next move once the Brazilian’s World Cup campaign comes to an end.

For months, both parties have projected confidence that an agreement would eventually be reached. 

Yet despite multiple rounds of discussions and several proposals from the club, Vinicius has still not signed a new deal.

Now, according to AS, Real Madrid are ready to present another renewal offer after the tournament, but this time there will be an important condition attached. 

The proposal will not remain on the table indefinitely, with the club expecting a response within a specific timeframe.

Vinicius’ renewal with Real Madrid has been one of the biggest topics s at Valdebebas throughout the past year.

The Brazilian remains under contract until 2027 and continues to be viewed as one of the cornerstones of Real Madrid’s long-term project.

From Florentino Perez to the coaching staff, there has never been any doubt about the club’s desire to keep the winger in Madrid for many years to come.

During the recent presidential campaign, Perez openly expressed his wish for Vinicius to spend the rest of his career at Real Madrid. 

Similar messages have been communicated privately throughout the negotiation process.

At the beginning of the World Cup, Vinicius himself acknowledged that discussions regarding his future would continue after Brazil’s participation in the tournament.

And now, Real Madrid intend to resume negotiations after the World Cup, with a new proposal expected to be placed before the player’s representatives.

Why has the renewal still not been completed?

Given Vinicius’ importance to Real Madrid, many expected an agreement to have been finalised long ago.

Much of the discussion has centred around financial terms, with differing views regarding the player’s salary package. 

Although neither side has publicly expressed concern, the absence of a signed contract has naturally created speculation about the situation.

Within Real Madrid, the objective has never been to prepare for a departure. Rather, every conversation has been focused on extending the relationship rather than planning for an exit strategy.

Furthermore, the most important detail emerging from the update is Real Madrid’s desire to bring the situation to a conclusion.

While the club remains committed to renewing Vinicius, there is a growing feeling that a final decision cannot be delayed forever.

The Brazilian remains one of the faces of the Real Madrid project and will be central to Mourinho’s plans moving forward.
